The protagonist of the game is a pilot of a mech robot which can either walk on planet surfaces or fly in space. There are two types of levels in the game. Surface levels take place on planets or moons and allow the mech to run and jump to the end of the level while fighting enemies, as in a side scrolling game. Space levels have no gravity and allow the mech to move in any direction. The mech can be equipped with a large assortment of machine guns, lasers, and grenades. Read less

(game for 1990)

Run'n'gun with a mech. You get to pick your weapon loadout which expands as stages go on. Gets incredibly unforgiving bit too fast. Also there is some plot going on that seems straight out of Gundam.

+Lots of weapons to shoot.
+lots of enemies to shoot them with
+Nice multidirectional scrolling in all directions at times. (The Zero-G areas were my favorite)
+No Timer. In fact you heal after time.

-No Boss Fights
-Death is game over
-Game is really hard.

I do like these kinds of vehicular combat platform shooting games and wish I knew of more of them. This is a painfully average game though, still I enjoyed it! It's fun and satisfying to shoot at things at the angles your mech can aim. It's not fun dodging bullets however, while doing it.
