Best at What He Does

1 of 3 favorite PS2 games of mine

For me, this is the definitive Wolverine game. You have total control over Wolverine from performing fun combos to slinking his claws in & out. The game's story takes notes not from the movie, but the original comic books with lots of unique Marvel locations, like the Void. There are plenty of bosses from favorites like Juggernaut & Sabretooth to new characters like May Deuce. The game also has a great voice cast with Mark Hamill doing a great Wolverine and Patrick Stewart returning as Professor X.

While I love this game for being able to play a rather solid Wolverine game, the difficulty is crazy, at least when I first played it. The levels are long, the enemies can be very resilient, and his regeneration only works with no claws. There is little forgiveness in fights and I only made it through the game with level skip cheats.
