Admittedly it's growing on me, but I'm still not totally sold yet. But the possibility of me really liking it is looking better and better.

So far, despite it's very very cute appeal, absurd premise and it's aesthetic reminiscent of Viva Pinata & Slime Rancher, it's...pretty meh. Startin' to feel bad about buying it at full price, but as an artist, I guess sometimes I need to support other artists, so.

We'll see how I feel once I get further in.

This better be good, it cost 20 dollars and honestly all the gameplay I watched on Youtube seemed extremely underwhelming, despite it looking tailor made for me. Guess we'll see.

Fuck yeah. I'm done with Elden Ring for now. Time to replay a real game like Bugsnax + its new update. I'm so ready. Unironically, I really liked this game at launch.

"We are born of the Bugsnax. Made men by the Bugsnax. Undone by the Bugsnax. Our eyes are yet to open. Fear the old Bugsnax."

Bugsnax's story = Bloodborne's lore

Can't wait for Bugsnax: The Old Bigsnax to face Ludwig Younghorses as a boss.

Just finished the game and... WHAT THE FUCK!

I never expected something like this in such a "cute and innocent game". I failed one of the final missions and... I never saw that coming.

Well... I guess I should saw that coming if I think hard enough in the premise of the game.

Turning limbs into what the characters eat …

Turning limbs into what the characters eat is actually very fucked up. This is cartoon-body-horror stuff. 80s - 90s Cronenberg would be proud

i've sent so many clips to my friend who thought this was a kids game and just about every conversation i've had in-game has had at least one line worth recording for posterity and future meme-use, so far my fav is:

ZONK OFF SQUEEB! - Socrates, (AKA Beffica Winklesnoot), Snaktooth Island (2020)

No word on if the expansion is coming to PC. But what I want most from this update is a shrimp Bugsnax because Young Horses really missed an opportunity for a Kero Kero Bonito reference.

A bit buggy (hehe), but a fun cross between monster-collecting and puzzles. There seemed to be a lot of ways to go about capturing the later non-boss monsters, and the bosses were a fun challenge. The side quests do share some info on using the tools that would not be intuitive otherwise, so I recommend doing them. I did not really care for the way the grumpuses looked once eating bugsnax, I found them quite cute before, so I did not find much thrill from customizing the way they look. Not much replay value in my eyes. The characters actually have good writing when you learn more about their stories, which helps alleviate some of the repetitiveness.

First played this game about a month or two ago and I can't get it out of my head. Wonderful cast of characters that are exceptionally memorable, though many lean pretty heavily into classic tropes. Easily ended up loving every character in their own unique way. Everyone felt real and authentic, as silly as it may sound coming from a game about muppets and bugs that look like food. The story kept me interested from the very first line, though the start isn't exactly the most thrilling if you prefer a action-packed game from the get-go. I think it's better to go in completely blind for this game, but that's up to you.

Gameplay was really simple and easy, not to mention this game is a quick trophy-earner if you're interested in that. I had a blast figuring out the many different methods to capture the adorably creepy critters scattered throughout Snaktooth island. Overall, I'd say I spent around 10 hours on this game completing the main story and sidequests.

In the end, I really recommend checking out this game as it's got a lot of heart and characters that will stick around in your heart after finishing.

Bugsnax is a weird experience. A bunch of dog-bears eat a bunch of fruit-animals, it's a unique game for sure.

The game has so much personality every character has such a deep and well-written story behind them, every connection every little detail has some sort of meaning. Bugsnax is not at all the game I was expecting it to be, it is supposedly a kids game but it really is targeted at the middle-aged population, the story talks about divorces workaholic people, it has more gay couples than straight couples, there is even a transgender. These 12 characters are what make this game so alive, and truly bring joy when things go good between them. The end of the game crushed my brain I was not seeing that coming.

In terms of gameplay, it's super fun in the first couple hours but gets real really repetitive, and boring. The side missions kill the joy of the game, the interface is miserable and the number of bugs and the map size and every collectible and every fkng mission just get reallyyyyy messy.

Concluding, there is only one game like bugsnax, and there will only be 12 characters ad the ones in bugsnax. I recommend this game to RPG lovers and prepare your selves because this is one hell of a roller coaster.

Having a ps plus definitely has its perks since they giving us this game for the free. I’m gonna give this a run. I’ve never played octodad so I don’t know what to expect from this developers, but people adored that game.

Just finished this. I know people joke about this game but its a good, fun game. Characters are interesting. The puzzle and charm of the creatures are great and the plot is odd but its still decent enough. If a sequel was made I'd happily play.
