More Monster Hunter, More Better.

I enjoyed my time with this dumb game. It was fun, but your enjoyment is directly proportional to your FF love. It's too hard single player and disproportionally easy with even one more player.

Final Fantasy Explorers is a fun game, but not an innovative one. I think the rating would drop a bit if I was playing by myself, but that would be crazy considering it literally says that it's a multiplayer game. A 7.5 is not a bad rating! It means it was a really good time, but not technically a "great" game. I view 8s as low-tier great, 9s as amazing and possibly classic, and 10 as a favourite game of all-time.

The Good:

- Surprising amount of depth: the Job system is always fantastic, but there are a lot of skills and ways to mix and match abilities, while upgrading them as well. Different equipment to make or buy, pets to take out. You always feel like you're growing your character.

- Tons of quests.

- The Final Fantasy charm. This always does it for me.

- Great music... again, the FF charm.

The Bad:

- Tons of quests. They're really generic a lot of the time. For every quest where you fight something like Ifrit, there are 5 where you just go out and kill 10 random dudes. Many people will be bothered by this, but to be honest, when playing with a friend the monotony doesn't seem as intense. It is still a negative, but it bothers me a lot less than some.

- Story is meh. It wasn't meant to be a story-based Final Fantasy but there's very little propelling you forward.

- Buttons are laid out weird and the camera sucks. It's kind of awkward using abilities, and the camera gets really annoying in certain places.
