Incredible stuff, easily the most fun I've had in VR since Alyx's launch. The actual movement definitely takes some getting used too, especially if you are an idiot like me and try to avoid the tutorials, but once you have it down it quickly becomes one of the most intense and just plain fun experiences you can have in VR. The sense of speed and momentum from the controls makes even basic movement super addictive, and the actual movement system of the game never game me motion sickness thanks to the way it feels like you are pushing yourself along. There are plenty of fun tricks that help you save time on the courses, and the awesome level design only helps this. There is pretty much always 2 ways or more of getting around an obstacle, and it makes the level design feel more like Sonic Generations rather than Mario Kart. Even after you get gold on each course, there are challenge levels that require your absolute best skills to complete, and have been extremely satisfying to get gold on so far.
The soundtrack is also fantastic, Drum and Bass tracks straight from the 90s get you pumped while racing, and the overall vibe of the game in general is just a ton of fun. Character designs are great, and the announcers got me chuckling quite a bit while I was playing. The presentation of Sprint Vector is top-notch, especially for a VR indie title, and it runs great compared to most other VR titles.
The only downside right now is that Multiplayer is pretty much dead, at least in my short experience trying to find a match. I've played maybe 2 online matches, and those only had 1 or 2 more people in them. If you are looking to do some online racing, I'd recommend bringing your own friends. Thankfully, You can still do bot matches while waiting for others to join your lobby, and the singleplayer content more than justifies the price of admission imo, but it would still be nice if there was a more active user base.
Sprint Vector is probably the most overlooked VR game on the market that I've played. The gameplay is unique, style of the game is polished and slick, the soundtrack is amazing, and it's just a damn fun time. I'd recommend this to pretty much anyone with a VR headset, just be ready to have sore arms afterwards.
