A perfect mix of Rayman 1 and 2

This game is a perfect platformer. I played it on 100% and was amazed by the creativity and variety of all levels. It has the mechanics of the Rayman 1 as a 2D sidescroller and the design, music, flair, characters and ideas of Rayman 2.

The levels are generally varied. There are normal platforming levels and also special levels where you have to ride a rocket, fly with a barrel on fire, water-ski, escape from a large metallic ball, move on lava with help of a plum and and and....

The difficulty of the game is perfect. Many levels you can't play with one try. There are always one or two parts where you fail and have to learn how to pass the part correctly. But these parts aren't frustrating but challenging in a perfect way. Also playing on 100% is motivating because the collectibles (lums and cages) aren't unfairly hidden. And you are not forced to check each wall and each corner for something special. You just have to play the levels and watch out for something suspicious, for example an empty useless platform that leads you to the secret corner with hidden lums. I hardly play games on 100% but with this game it was fun.

The game's length is also optimal. With about 10 hours for playing 100% it is not too short but not too long and repetitive.
