It seems like, in order to get all the suits for a trophy, I'm gonna have to get the best performance in all of Taskmaster challenges.
It seems like I won't be getting the platinum trophy in this one after all :(

A quote from my partner: "I rushed through the last bunch of story quests because... it just felt really awkward to be catching pigeons when the entire city was on fire."

I can't believe that Yuri Watanabe is the only good character that's ever existed

I hate this kind of writing because it always just feels like the writers are trying to stall, and it always feels really contrived. Also, all of the Marvel Netflix shows do this (and a lot of Netflix "binge-worthy" shows in general, since they're written strictly as as one long narrative rather than episodic stories that build up to a larger one) and it's super annoying.

I know basically everyone has said this but the web-slinging is SO fucking good. Like, it captures the speed and exhilaration of what we've all imagined Spidey's web-slinging would be like perfectly

This is one of those games... I just can't go on with the plot. I'm too happy just taking pictures!

Is it SUPER similar to the Arkham series and the last umpteenth Spider-Man games?
Yes.
Does it look better, run better, and play better than all of them?
Pretty much.
Awesome voice acting, a maturely-written and truly heartfelt story, and satisfying action and set-pieces make this the best Spider-Man video game ever, and gives the Arkham series some serious competition …

I can’t wait for a sequel, but, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE take your time.

I was wrong. This games is not Spider-Man: Arkham City.
It's Asspider Creed.

What a fun game. 100% according to in game percentage.. Don't have all suits, didn't fully upgrade all gadgets. Missing 2 trophies to platinum, probably not gonna get them.

I couldn’t help myself and I had to jump in. It’s exhilerating to start the game swinging through the city and I appreciate Insomniac’s approach to an established Spidey. There have been enough collected origin stories for the character over the last two decades that dispencing with the origin in this game seems like a sound choice. Not unlike the fact that Arkham Asylum delivers a fully fleshed out Batman based on decades of Batman television and film.
I have to get back to God of War before continuing but I thoroughly enjoyed the opening of Spider-Man and I look forward to the rest of the game.

Only played a few hours. It is very similar to Batman in terms of the combat and a big city to explore, and very similar to Far Cry or Assassin's Creed with the unlocking parts of the city by climbing towers.

But despite feeling similar to other games... the traversal is really, really good and the Spider-Man theme makes it feel fresh. Also being less serious than Batman or Assassin's Creed is a welcome change. The QuickTime action sequences are much more dramatic and that is fun. So far I am really enjoying it.
