When the player enters a building, the gameplay perspective shifts to a first-person view. The game is significant for combining two different perspectives and for being an early game mastered in surround sound (Dolby Pro Logic). Read less

Clunky Controls And Grainy Look Detract From An Addicting RE-Style Gameplay

Preliminary: It's so grainy, which is quite disappointing for 1994 (tho this might've first been released Dec 1993.. still), like even one of the puzzles where I'm supposed to memorize a code... I can't even tell what the left one is supposed to be lol. I think a raptor? enter image description here

But whatever it is, the RE-esque adventure gameplay has me hooked. I really wanted to be outside today but we needed some repairs on the house/wood replaced so I'm kinda stuck inside on this beautiful day. At least finally a game has me hooked.

Well this had potential to possibly even reach 4 star despite its graininess, due to its hook. But unfortuantely, I can't seem to get the Gas Can to interact with the boat so I can use it. And there had been lots of pixel hunting and/or issues with where the mouse counts as clicking, which is fine if I weren't being timed and weren't being attacked haha. Still, a surprisingly fun game.

Look: 6.5/10 I oddly still really liked it, especially the 3d feeling movement, but soooo grainy.

Sound: 8/10 Jamming

Play: 7.5/10 Could've been higher but the way it interacts/plays would have been better with no timing and better precision.

Feel: 7.5/10

Attachment: 7.5/10 Who knows, maybe it's just something I was doing wrong but it was frustrating. I abused savestates and tried over and over but couldn't get the Gas Can to work, and I checked a video guide and a written guide, both of which said that's what you're supposed to do. Argh

Overall: 7.4/10

Completion: Collected the small dinosaurs' eggs. Had triceratops key and several other needed items for the other eggs.

Playtime: 35 mins
