Faeria is a digital collectible card and turn-based strategy game that takes place on a dynamic playing board set in a fantasy universe. Players in Faeria battle one-on-one against other players or computer-controlled opponents. Battles take place on a empty hex board and the goal for each player is to reduce the opponent's avatar health to zero before their own is exhausted. Part of the game's strategy is managing the placement of tiles on the board to create routes for one's creatures to reach the opponent while limiting progress from the opponent. Winning games earns in-game currency that can be used to purchase new packs of cards, from which the player can then customize their deck. Support for the iOS and Android versions of the game were dropped in 2018 to focus on the PC version. The game also moved out of its free-to-play model and announced plans for card expansion DLCs around the same time. Read less

This is basically Hearthstone with some single player missions. It was okay, but it didn't add anything that Hearthstone doesn't already have, and there's just too much i want to play to stick around and play more.

Started playing this, and am enjoying it a lot. I have no interest in playing other humans, I got it because I heard it has a long single player campaign. I love figuring out how to get past an AI, and exploit its behavior.

Decent but I won't play it religiously.

Faeria's gameplay shines, and what it lacks in narrative it more than makes up for in strategy. While Faeria won’t appeal to some casual players and viewers, players who enjoy delving into sophisticated and nuanced gameplay will be amply rewarded.

Worst CCG interface ever

Faeria is a fun game that has a lot going for it. The music is great, it looks nice, it has its own lore and there's quite a bit of single-player content. The card design is fairly solid and the cards have been balanced in the past ~3 years.

Would i recommend you buy it? No, definitely not. I don't think any game has been starved of content quite as badly, not even The Elder Scrolls: Legends during its darkest days. Abrakam made 80 additional cards, but they cost you €26 in total. That's more than many F2P CCGs would ask and it's really bad for a €20 game that's got a ton of basic UI cosmetics hidden behind a paywall.

The game is also littered with terrible design choices. "Log Out" is the first option on the dropdown menu, right above "Concede". Huh? The deck builder is wonky with bare-bones filter options and a bizarre text filter that hides cards it should show sometimes. Worst of all is the supposed "100 hours of solo content". There are a bunch of boss battles each with their own rules. The rules are not shown outside the battle itself. So here's how you play the solo content:

  • start Faeria
  • Click Log In. Yes, you have to click it every time...
  • Sit through the unskippable Log In Reward calendar
  • Sit through the Daily Quest menu
  • Click Play
  • Click Adventure
  • Click Oversky
  • Guess which boss you can actually fight against because this is incredibly poorly indicated
  • Click the Boss
  • Click on your ally
  • Click Play
  • Click Ready
  • Select a deck and click Confirm
  • Sit through unskippable animations
  • Finally find out what special rules apply to this boss.
  • Click Menu
  • Click Surrender
  • Click Yes
  • Click OK
  • Click Back
  • Click Collection
  • Click New Deck
  • Click Custom Deck
  • Make a deck and click Save
  • Click Back
  • Click Back To Oversky
  • Click the Boss
  • Click on your ally
  • Click Play
  • Click Ready
  • Select a deck and click Confirm
  • Sit through unskippable animations
  • Finally get to play the freaking game.

That's about 30 steps to play one battle. I'm not making this up, i just did them all myself because i couldn't even remember all of the steps.

So yeah, Faeria is fun but seriously lacks content, has an extremely poorly designed interface and multiplayer is almost dead (~100 players). Don't bother.
