Decent.

If you're going into this game expecting a full total war experience like TW Warhammer or Three Kingdoms, you'll be disappointed. However, this is another solid experience with it's own unique aspects that make it stand out. I got this game free on the EGS when it came out.

I'm Tired Of This Shit

  • I'm tired of not being able to group units permanently.

  • I'm tired of not being able to set a default deployment.

  • I'm tired of the AI spamming nonsensical demands that can easily be dismissed by giving them 1 food instead of the 30 gold they demanded for some reason.

  • I'm tired of weak AI factions making ridiculous demands to accept a non-aggression pact from a far more powerful faction.

  • I'm tired of interfaces that are too small even at 1080p (their UI slider only lets you make it smaller, lmao).

  • I'm tired of games that are so buggy even basic features (retreat/auto-resolve) don't work.

  • I'm tired of tutorials that are so poorly thought out that they actually block the text of the mission it wants you to complete.

  • I'm tired of tutorials that completely block you from doing other things, actually making the game harder in return.

  • I'm tired of developers constantly making us look at unskippable animations. I don't want to see my leader beat up the other leader after every single battle, Christ.

I loved TW: Rome and was looking forward to playing this, but it's broken and bothersome. Don't get me wrong, everything else from the units to skills to buildings is excellent - it's just that i don't want to do the same grouping/deployment/"negotation" a 100+ times. Maybe they'll fix the bugs and AI spam later on, for now i wouldn't recommend it unless it's your first TW game or you have the patience of a saint.

PS: The default pause button is 'P'. Really? Like, for real? Ugh.
