It's a proper shooter.

Yes, it's repetitive. No, it does not have a interesting story. But, the gameplay is great for the ones who love old-school shooters. The graphics look great for its requirements. It's packed with non-stop action. That's it, if you're an old-school FPS player, (Quake, Unreal Tournament, Doom, etc.) you'll love this game. It just delivers the goods without making you …

An attempt at taking the 2-gun, regenerating health, FPS shooter and making it less cutscene heavy, tougher and faster paced. I really respect this sort of endeavor, while I gave it 2 stars I really did enjoy the first few hours. The game has a sense of destruction to the shooting, bits of cover sometimes get blown up, shoot feels intense, enemies are aggressive in their shooting and attempts to rush you and the flow of enemies is pretty with fresh fodder literally teleporting into the fight and trying. The game makes shout outs when you get certain types of kills: explosive kills, multi-kills etc which makes you feel like a bad-ass. I played on the 2nd of 3 difficulties (the highest difficulty seemed to be balanced around having already unlocked some perks) and found myself dying repeatedly. There were some bullshit moments like when the checkpoint happens in the middle of a fire fight, but I did enjoy most of the struggle.

The reason I stopped played out was really a combination of several things. Other than cool gunplay it has nothing. Generic COD moveset, generic guns that are poorly balanced you basically stick to the 2-3 good ones the whole game, repetitive and bog-standard space levels, a story that never got interesting, the only new mechanic it brings is a scoring system, headshots, melee, and chain kills give more points and points buy perks. But even if you make no attempt what so ever to play for score you'll unlock all the perks by the time the game is half over so who cares. Speaking of perks fuck 'em. There is no sense of progression, you get shit perks for a while then the game just dumps all the good ones' on you all at once, at which point it just feels like you turned the difficulty down 1 or 2 settings. What an awful difficulty curve. I also don't like how the best perk is just turning the infinite ammo pistol into some sort of super gun that can dispatch anything by just spraying randomly. The game was already struggling with weapon variety and then there was suddenly no reason to ever, ever use any other gun.

Корявая сложность, скучный сюжет, мало оружия, однообразные враги и локации. Пис оф крэп, в общем.
