Port of Call of Duty: World at War
2.91 average rating based on 70 ratings

FPS - Follows U.S. soldiers through various pivotal World War II battles in the European and Pacific theaters.
PROS:
++ Environments. Some of the level environments looked decent enough for a PS2 game. Most notably the final level: Shuri's Castle. It also had a good amount of colour so it didn't feel too drab.
++ Generous lock-on system. Aiming down sight snaps to the nearest enemy and it works quite well. It makes the game end faster when you just snap from enemy to enemy.
CONS:
-- Poor audio mixing. Though this entry had the same voice actors as the PS3 version, it didn't matter because you can barely hear the chatter and conversations. The environmental audio is way too loud and drowns out the characters' lines.
-- Unpolished. Tons of technical issues all around. The game frequently stuttered. Bodies will glitch out and go crazy. For an entire level, there was a visual glitch that took up my entire screen. Instances where comrades got stuck way behind in the level. Enemies being able to shoot even if they're looking the other way. The list goes on and on, and it's only a 3-hour game. Instances where comrades got stuck way behind in the level. Enemies being able to shoot even if they're looking the other way. The list goes on and on, and it's only a 3-hour game. Really makes it feel like this entry was a mere cash-grab for those who only had a PS2.
-- Lack of features. Only has an awful 3-hour campaign. No multiplayer. No zombies. No co-op.
-- Awful gameplay. The gunplay felt incredibly unsatisfying because there was no feedback when hitting or killing enemies. They just simply drop. Taking damage felt inconsistent too. Sometimes you can take a lot, and other times it feels like you drop dead immediately. I was tired of playing this game just 15 minutes into it.
-- Repetitive mission structure. The amount of times I had to hold a position while fighting off waves of enemies was way too much for an already short campaign. Absolutely no creativity in the mission structure. Monotonous, repetitive, and uninspired.
-- Ugly visuals. Besides environments, this game has uglier visuals compared to its PS2 counterparts which released years earlier; Finest Hour and Big Red One.
-- Terrible AI. Enemies would stand still. Sometimes they would be walking as if they were just strolling around the park. Team AI is not much better because they also just stand around, and even have the habit of pushing you into enemy fire.
