Played through the campaign for this game today. Not the best experience but it had a few good moments, and I really enjoyed the flying sections—almost felt like the Rogue Squadron games.

Redownloaded this to recognise EA for their turnaround in eliminating paid loot box progression and unlocking all characters. Real effort like that deserves one more point on their servers.
Played it... deleted. I can't do it. The borked progression obviously wasn't actually the sticking point for me.

I know there have been numerous issues discussed regarding the loot box system, so I cannot comment on this as it has to do with the multi-player, but the campaign itself was truly enjoyable!

Got this one today, looking especially forward to take part of the single-player campaign (considered a part of the official canon, I believe)
