Following the mathematical, algebraic, and radical success of 2012’s Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! There isn't a funny story like in the previous title, the graphics are way worse, it's all pixelated, even cutscenes, and then the gameplay... It's made to be slow and grinding, you can't save money between dungeons, you must grind more exploring slowly to get enough money for an upgrade or a speed amulet. The only way to play the game is using Jake that can travel freely (because normal characters can't even access all the dungeon) and the speed amulet, which makes the exploration faster. Even upgrades aren't shared between characters, so you can't even switch freely between them.

I remember when I was 11 and a big fan of the show, I wanted this game. 5 years later, pirated it, I was really disappointed with what I have played. A formulaic, bland dungeon crawler with no depth compared to other roguelikes like Enter the Gungeon or Dead Cells and lacks the joy and charm the show has. There are a lack of items that are recycled. Upgrades are hard to afford. The combat is joyless and repetitive. There is a very small catalog of enemies which is disappointing compared to the amount of creatures and characters the post-apocalyptic land of Ooo could have. Nothing feels satisfying as you play through the game. Do not play this game if you are a fan of the show. Probably the most disappointing game I have ever played.

the adventure time theme makes this game cute and fun, but the gameplay is pretty basic.
