Not Heroes&Generals lol

Terrible optimization, and it’s hard to find a decent server — there aren’t many to begin with. The gameplay feels pretty questionable too. You either sit there for an hour staring at pixels, or you move forward and just die. Oh, and after you die, you get to spend 10 minutes running back to the capture point. Sounds like a …

For some reason (give aways? mindless optimism?) I've got a ton of these "realistic" mil-sim shooters and I don't like playing any of them. Ultimately, Hell Let Loose is a hardcore shooter in every sense of the word. Though it’s very easy to get discouraged at the beginning, those committed to seeing it through will likely have a great time. Though the niche focus won’t appeal universally, providing you know what you’re getting in for, anyone after a tougher World War II shooter would …

Brief Final Thoughts

Really wanted to enjoy this but couldn't get into it. I have a lot of praise for the tense, realism in combat and fantastic sound design, hearing the sound of bullets barely missing you as your running through the trenches Is nerve wracking. Really wanted to enjoy this but couldn't get into it. I have a lot of praise for the tense, realism in combat and fantastic sound design, hearing the sound of bullets barely missing you as your running through the trenches Is nerve wracking. Where it loses me is the sheer size of the maps, this is far too slow paced for me personally, I spent far too much time during games with minimal interaction with the opposition, it doesn't bring enough to the table overall to keep me coming back.
