Very heavy Studio Ghibli vibes, by that I mean the creatures and the overall world. It seems open-world/go wherever whenever so far with a pretty obvious idea of where to go next (I think that might be just bc of the tutorial stage is still in place?), but "open world" I guess is what's necessary for games where you farm items. The movement reminds me of how Night In the Woods played. Where some roofs or places to jump is so stylized in with the rest of the background that it's hard to see so I try jumping on anything that's behind me. The animation is extremely cute and everyone has such big personalities. The cat companion is a cute addition especially since it demands to also be as important as our main character by forcefully getting there own "spiritfarer" gem that acts like a Mary Poppins purse would. But hasn't been much more than cute so far (other than helping you saw down trees for wood). Every time you're talking to anyone its idle animation is playing with this "gem tool" as a cat would. It's pretty dang adorable. I've played 3 hours so far and seem to just be finally creeping out of the tutorial, maybe. Which I'm relieved about. It's 30 dollars and for a smaller game, I wasn't sure how many hours could actually be put into it. Seems like a lot. Can't wait to play it somemore after work!

Like Animal Crossing, except you build homes and plant gardens for animals on a boat that ferries them to the afterlife. Playing the current demo really has my interested piqued. Looking forward to the Switch release.
