It's quite fun the first two or three times, but after that it gets repetitive, it has many game modes but they all play the same in the end, you don't really have a reason to switch your strategy.

Firstly there is nothing controversial about this game whatsoever, its very tempting to call it evil or cruel or nasty considering you are attempting to kill millions of people with a mutated virus, once you start you will quickly realise its quite benign, the presentation is friendly and not aimed at any one specific person or people- its just a simulator. there are many different options for you to create your own specific pandemic, with lots of customisations, there are even options to create a vampire holocaust. i have always enjoyed this game but i have only given it 3 stars- the reason for this is the execution. the game plays out like a real world simulator, with the earth, all the countries and interactions between those countries, plus regular news broadcast. its less strategy more retro arcade with points being attained for pressing buttons as quickly as you can and a timer counting down the days until the scientists find a cure- there is no strategy here just a quick button basher. so while i thoroughly like this game, the execution is a below par experience.

This seems like a great strategy game, but it's lacking in depth. It was fun the first few playthroughs, but it could be more interesting if more information was added in game about the viruses and mutations involved. The strategy part was enjoyable, but not enough to keep my playing for hours on end.
