Fun with a Steep Learning Curve
The title says it all, but I should probably write some more. A bullet list seems appropriate for this four year old PS+ game.
I played it on Vita and overall had some fun. I will do my best to explain the type of game it is.

I played it on Vita and overall had some fun. I will do my best to explain the type of game it is.
It's an Indie run and gun, rogue lite ish (I guess), difficult sci-fi platformer. I don't know what I'm talking about, maybe the game is trying to be too much...
Here are some pros:
- Fun indie pixel graphics
- Good on a portable device
- Weapon selection is fun and diverse
- Baddies look cool and they mutate the longer they survive (hell yeah)
- Grenades are fun to use but difficult to master
- Jumping seems responsive, good controls.
- Fun on Vita. Other consoles (PS4) may be fun, I'm not sure
- Fun in short sessions
- Nice use of colors
Cons:
- Very steep learning curve when they throw in traps right away
- Health meter is a little small
- Level design is compact but not super well developed (e.g. baddies could be jumping around in a section of the level that is hard to access/throw grenades into.
- Too difficult from the beginning, not a lot here to make me want to keep playing and potentially rage quit
- Health powerups are not present in the first three levels
- Getting juggled around by enemies attacking you
- Small enemy hit boxes
Overall I would give it 3/5. Not bad but not quite enough to make me want to finish it.
