A Disappointing Experience

Pretty neat for being a solo developer title. However, overall, this was an extremely disappointing experience. The gameplay falls completely flat and the story is trying to be so much more than what it ends up being.

Already in the intro cutscene of the game, I came across an animation bug. The wonky animation and models don't give me the intended feeling of warm nostalgia but rather make me feel uncomfortable and slightly scared of what is to come. Wait, is this a horror game?

Well turns out it wasn't. The story is supposed to be about missing childhood and sentimental nostalgia. We travel through the main character's distorted memories as different gameplay features and mini-games.

The main gameplay part is supposed to be some kind of interactive puzzle game a la Captain Toad style. This main part just feels like a weird filler and poses no challenge whatsoever in terms of puzzle mechanics, but only of buggy input programming and graphical glitches.

It's impressive for a one-person indie project, but unfortunately, it's quite terrible to get through. I got through it cause I expected some kind of interesting resolution to the "touchy" story but ended up leaving utterly disappointed.
