And while I'm on my negative kick tonight, "Ori & The Blind Forest" is completely overrated. Guess we'll award critical acclaim to anything these days, huh.

Eventually I realized they released it on Switch, saw there was a demo, tried it, and loved it! Then I waited for what felt like a small eternity for an eShop sale, which finally came through a couple weeks ago.

An absolutely gorgeous game. The music is phenomenal, the graphics are outstanding, the challenge is high but fair. A good length that isn't too short or too long. If you love Metroid or similar types of games, pick this one up.

It took me a while to really come around, those first 2 to 3 hours were really rough, but ultimately I think it's finally starting to be worth it and quite enjoyable. We'll see where it goes from here.

I expecting just a pretty approachable platformy thing with cute visuals that draw its wide appeal

but I got a challenging and confusing metroidvania with super-hurty rage-quitty spikes in dark and painful pit-places

I love going into a game blind!

I started playing this in early 2018, got as far as escaping the tree, then dropped it. Picking it up now and getting that far, I have NO idea why I dropped it. I’m loving it.

Picked this up on sale about a week ago. Decided to give it a try today.

Let it be known that I'm not really much for platformers, but I'll dabble with them. This is something I'll probably play on and off between other games, because I can't play this sort of game straight through.

The music is AMAZING, and the environments are gorgeous. I love how smooth the platforming itself is. I was a little overwhelmed with all of the different orbs at first, but it didn't take long to figure out which was which.

I'm enjoying it so far.

Fantastic game but feels short and leaves you wanting more by the end, it felt like theres only 3 dungeons in the game, currently at 87% completion for the side stuff.

Ori & The Complete Ineptness At Marking Paths For Progression. Super null impressed thusfar. We'll see how it improves. Shame too, always had high hopes for this.

A seemingly prettier Hollow Knight that's much emptier in every other way. We're really just calling ANYTHING critically acclaimed now aren't we? Not looking to discuss or argue, just having the worst day of my life in years and am really mad at the sheer seeming mediocrity of this game now on top of everything else.

Phew... There's a bit more Super-Meat-Boy-style platforming in this game than I expected. Hopefully my crappy reflexes can make it through the game. It sure does look pretty though.

Also, Pro-Tip! If you're stuck at home by yourself for 3 weeks, maybe don't watch the first 15 minutes of "Up", then start this game later the same day.

The difficulty of it all, the learning to overcome hard obstacles and doing fast and accurate movements, it's cool all around!

I also love the art, the way light displays itself in the forest and gives you this beautiful forms, colors and shadows all over the place, the calm the game induces at times, the feeling of being in a big forest surrounded by mysterious creatures. Amazing. Enjoying this game a lot on Xbox One X and looking forward to what happens next!
