The goal was to fly around and collect sticks to build your nest. The player could also deficate on cars, and make them crash. This game marks the beginning of Ben Daglish as a composer, although all he did was write the notes for the death tune in the game, it is still this game that got him into composing game music for the Commodore 64. The Commodore 64 version was programmed by Anthony Crowther. Read less

I always like when there's a set goal for an action game: collect 10 twigs for your nest. (They looked like worms and like I'm feeding my chicks, to me, but that's what everything online said...). I always like when there's a set goal for an action game: collect 10 twigs for your nest. (They looked like worms and like I'm feeding my chicks, to me, but that's what everything online said...). Of course you can only carry one twig/worm at a time, which makes the game feel quite tedious but the goal I set of just completing one level (10 twigs/worms) was the right amount. It continues for 10 total levels, but I figured I'd be happy with completing just one level. But wow, the controls turned out to be surprisingly tight and logical, and the look was real nice, cute, and fitting. (I heard the C64 version has uglier graphics, but here's a video of the ZX Spectrum version I played

Turns out you have to land on the ground to restore Energy, I didn't realize that at first and thought the Energy limitation was far too tight. I could see that being critical in later levels. Pro tip: it turns out the little black things, which might be butterflies or something?, actually heal you. I had been avoiding them for most my playthrough heh. And I never really explored it but it seems you can drop eggs/poop/bullets? below you haha. Oh and another pro tip: it's not unidirectional, it's bidirectional. Once you realize that it helps with some of the "later" worms/twigs cuz it's actually closer to go the opposite direction. My husband just got home so it's walk then show time but I will finish this tomorrow--and possibly turn this into a proper review after all! Super silly game, but I want to reach that goal!
