I know Sonic games, specially 3D ones, are all about GOTTA GO FAST, but minute-long levels where you have nothing to do move forward and see things zoom by without any time to look at them is perhaps going too far?

I didn't realize people were clamoring for an ultimate remaster of this game of all games, feels a little random. But I'm actually kind of in the mood for this kind of thing and never played the original, so I'm up for it. September 7 release.

This game is so good, you guys. This broke the streak of 3D Sonic games I just wasn't interested in. We go back to basics here and explore a fun space theme park collecting Red Rings and using Wisp powerups.

Side note: DS version gets a 4/5 stars. Very solid entry that has better bosses and better Wisps level design than the Wii version

Final Thoughts: Both the Wii and DS versions are solid entries with more incredibly creative Zones and music (I personally liked Tropical Resort / Aquarium Park). The Wii version looks spectacular and is one of the best looking games for the system, but the game plays more like a 2D platformer 80% of the time which sometimes slowed the pace down. The DS version nails the 2D gameplay better in my opinion, and plays like the past Sonic Rush games which I've also enjoyed.

Over all, these games help to show that Sonic games had promise back in the day, which was only improved even more in next year's Sonic Generations.

Completed on console (Wii)

I had a lot of fun playing worlds 1-3. Sonic Colors delivers a great sense of speed, catchy tunes and bright graphics.

Then the game gets very tedious with multiple water levels, recycled bosses and huge autoscrollers.

A must-play for Sonic fans.
