The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve is the eleventh installment of the Ace Attorney series of text adventure video games. New gameplay mechanics introduced to the series include Dance of Deduction, in which Ryunosuke must deduce mistakes and oversights in Herlock's overboard logic and uncover new facts, and Summation Examination, in which players must point out discrepancies among jurors' arguments to make their defendant's case and ultimately secure a "Not Guilty" verdict.

The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures - REVIEW

The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve is a game I expected to like. But I didn't expect it to be my favorite game in the Ace Attorney franchise. It is one of the few games in the series... Or really in general for that matter that has left me screaming in excitement and pacing in my room, unable to sit still.

One thing that is noticeable about this game is that there is little to nothing new in this game. It literally plays exactly like the first game. There are zero new features added. So I won't be talking about them. The link to my review of the first game should give you a rundown. In most games, I'd take issue with this. But not here. This may be just more of The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures in terms of gameplay, but it makes up for in its AMAZING Story.

Taking place 4 months after the first game, Ryunosuke Naruhodo is continuing his quest to be a successful lawyer in London. However, he runs straight into a case that hasn't truly been solved for more than a decade. Ryunosuke and his friends will …

Ryunosuke and his friends will fight to solve this case while learning about the true reason they even went to London in the first place.

The plot has so many twists and turns. I can say for sure that I was screaming, and pacing in my room because of this plot. It was that good. TRULY the best part of the game. I've never been so engaged in a game in forever. It was a breathtaking experience with an extremely satisfying ending.

And my god, the music just hits different this time. A lot of the tracks in this game (with a few exceptions) were in the first game. But they seem to be used so much better in this game and I absolutely loved it.

And if isn't obvious, the cases are way better than the first one. The comedy is great too. Laughed a lot. This game is just really good at evoking emotion. Don't really know how to describe it. The pacing isn't the greatest. But I was able to put that aside and just enjoy it.

The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve is truly the best Ace Attorney game yet and I don't think even the Apollo games can trump it. It was one of my most memorable experiences with a game in years. I loved every second of it.
