Wanted to play the DLC Suda51 wrote only to then smack face-first into the realization that I have never played a Fire Pro game in my life. In talking with people how to play it, they recommended I watch some japanese pro wrestling matches to understand what the game's going for, and that actually helped!
I'm still getting my ass kicked, but I'm understanding the role of the mechanics better and I'm also getting some of the culture that informs the DLC's writing itself when I look up the people in the matches I've been linked.
Also the MC's name is Sumio Smith and I'm going to be really mad if this has Kill The Past deeplore.
