Another one of those games where when I'm working on a puzzle, I moan and groan and scream "yes!" and my wife is like "what the hell is wrong with you?" haha.

There are few things better in life than overcoming a tough boss fight. Learning the patterns, figuring out what you need to do, and then finally overcoming. This is why I still love this dumb hobby haha.

If Ubisoft made more games like this, they wouldn't be in the situation they are in right now.

FUCK the DLC for this game. It's difficult and makes you retry everything in a bout of trial and error. Waste of $4.99. Fuck this. I'm going back to finish Fallout 4.

What a fantastic game. For the main story and then the side quests I did (not all), it took 28.5 hours. Gonna try to 100% this and then get the DLC (costs only $4.99!!!)

Like with Astro Bot, I believe the time is a bit off. But still, PS5 currently says I'm 31 hours into this game. It is longer than I thought it would be and I'm really enjoying it. Itching to buy the new Zelda though, as well as start other long games I have.

The ability to be in two places almost at once opens up some mindbending platforming and puzzle possibilities, using it to dodge attacks from enemies and bosses feels rad, and it's even great offensively once you get the amulet that lets you draw a line of red laser death between your warp's start and end point.

Wish it was utilized more in platforming challenges outside of the Divine Trials, and I wish the other upgrades were nearly as novel, but it's still a cool new idea for the genre.

These Divine Trial platforming levels are bonkers tough, but they've all been incredibly fun so far! Love finding a seemingly-insurmountable challenge and slowly learning to tease it apart.

Still mostly having a good time with Lost Crown, but I'm really not a fan of the way Sargon's jump cancels out the speed of his run. I understand why it's built that way, it keeps the air dash relevant without having to horizontally stretch platforming challenges, but it gives the basic movement in this game a stuttering, start-stop cadence …

Losing run speed after every screen transition is a huge bummer as well, and I'm not sure there's even a good excuse for that one.

Forcing player movement to use the analog sticks exclusively, with no option to remap them, was poor design. It wasn't an issue for me until pretty late in the game, but one platforming section really shines a spotlight on it.

Still just starting out with this one, but it seems neat so far! Basic movement feels great, combat covers the Devil May Cry essentials and throws in some expressive new twists of its own, and there's a dedicated, totally superfluous input for doing sweet mid-air backflips.

Excited to begin exploring Mount Qaf, feels surreal to play a new Prince of Persia after 14 years away.
