Tokyo Dark is an anime-style horror adventure game combining point and click and visual novel genres. The story follows Detective Itou across Tokyo, searching for the truth behind her partner's strange disappearance. Featuring puzzles, stat management, and difficult decisions, Tokyo Dark puts the narrative in the hands of the player. Players' decisions change their character, opening or locking options and leading to multiple endings.

Nothing new in terms of story: members of a sect committed mass suicide, and some paranormal phenomena came out of it through an old mask which lets the bearer see the past. Production value is high, but the story and the characters felt uninspired and boring to me, so unfortunately I cannot score this game too high.

Production value is high, but the story and the characters felt uninspired and boring to me, so unfortunately I cannot score this game too high.

A previous reviewer mentioned the japanese indie game scene in relation to this game, but I think they may be wrong. Credits show artists and writer are non japanese (and most other roles were fulfilled by non japanese) so I'd say this is a non japanese game that had Japanese support to make it fit culturally.
