It’s pretty clear that A-rank character just aren’t that great. They are fine for filling out a team for certain roles, but being stuck with three A-rank because you haven’t pulled better on some missions really reveals how much less effective they are at DPS. They are fine for filling out a team for certain roles, but being stuck with three A-rank because you haven’t pulled better on some missions really reveals how much less effective they are at DPS. I can easily take out content way above my level with S-rank teams thanks to their DPS and their superior rotations, while A-rank teams struggle with content on par with their current level. It’s a shame.

I'd kill for a game with these combat mechanics that wasn't shonen inspired. Shonen anime typically isn't my thing, and I'd love to have something that was kick-ass and shojo inspired instead.

The devs at miHoYo seems quite skilled, so it does amaze me that this game can't switch between input types (touch/controller or KBM/controller) on the fly. Forcing the player to manually change the input type in the option menu is such a strange design choice (or perhaps oversight). What's worse is that, as I mentioned in an earlier post, there is no way to enter text without a keyboard on PC, but if you have the game set to controller input you can't access the keyboard to type unless you exit the text prompt, enter the option screen, switch the input, and then return to the section of the game that prompted text entry. It's cumbersome and it's a baffling oversight.

There is something uncanny and unsettling about the way that the characters move during cut scenes. It's as if they are missing in-betweens and that the animation rushes movement from keyframe to keyframe. The result is exaggerated swift movements that feel like a Disney character on speed. There is something uncanny and unsettling about the way that the characters move during cut scenes. It's as if they are missing in-betweens and that the animation rushes movement from keyframe to keyframe. The result is exaggerated swift movements that feel like a Disney character on speed. It also seems to be largely a choice for the female presenting characters than the male ones, an example of which being that the two siblings are animated differently even when in the same scene together.
It's a stylistic choice, so I can't fault them for doing anything wrong, I just don't think I love the choice.

Given I pulled all the featured characters on the exclusive banner, should I bank my polychrome and encrypted tapes for the next exclusive banner, or should I just keep pulling? Also should I bank regular tapes or spend them given there’s nothing special about the stable banner?
