Really fun FPS. Portals allow for a practically infinite number of gameplay permutations with a really high skill ceiling, and an ever-raising skill floor. The gunplay is totally Halo, which is awesome. The online is solid, and ranked is also really fun.

liked this and better than most that try to emulate the yesteryear frag shooter era of Quake 3/UT

Not bad, not great. Maps are fun, weapons are cool. And its free. There's enough going on between telefragging and the portal gun to make this interesting to play with friends. I'd be willing to come back to it if anyone wanted to play it.

Polished, novel gameplay -- a bit of jank in menus

I mean, it is very much a rip off of Halo, with the main novel idea being to bring Portal mechanics in. But they really nail the Halo gameplay. It is very polished gunplay and movement. Maps are interesting. Using the portals really does change the game and makes going back to normal shooters feel really limiting. It's clear that this is a small developer with a novel game though: the menus are a bit janky compared to AAA titles, the battle pass is confusing, aesthetics are a bit lackluster. And although they copy basically all of the game modes from Halo, it would be better if they also included some of their own that really take advantage of portals in some way (though I don't have any specific ideas off the top of my head). I really enjoyed my first 10 hours or so when I was low rank and was obliterating everyone. I kept thinking "holy cow... I finally found the FPS that I'm best at" but then I got to the rank where I'm playing people of my own skill level (which isn't particularly high) and the game started to feel like most other competitive multiplayer games …

For anyone jonesin for a fun and free online experience, look no further. If Portal had a multi-player mode, this would be it. If Halo was still good, it would play like this.

Weapons and gameplay are inspired by Halo 2 and 3. Portals work just like they do in the game Portal by Valve. Lots of cosmetics to unlock. Go enjoy.

nothing amazing but it's not bad. Played it with friends and found it better than expected. liked it more than Q Champs. Felt a bit like UT/Toxikk (but it's 20x better than Toxikk)

Played a bit of the beta a couple days ago on PS4. Seems like a fun mix between Halo gunplay and the Portal series. The servers have been down ever since though, as the game has seen a massive influx of concurrent players and the servers can't handle it. Apparently there is only 4 people on the dev team. I imagine they have mixed feelings on the matter. So many people playing and enjoying their game that the servers can't keep up.
