Unique arcade style survival horror game

Endoparasitic - a game I thought I would never plays again. I had briefly tried it, and the strange “one arm man pulling himself along the floor” mechanic just didn’t click at all (or maybe I wasn’t in the mood). Anyways, I saw the sequel came out and decided to jump in - and was IMMEDIATELY impressed. Wait, this is actually a classic survival horror game?

So, I thought to go ahead and play the first one before going too far , and I’m glad I did. This one doesn’t feel as much like a true survival horror as the sequel does (in my brief time playing it), it just has a much more arcade style feel to it. You can play the entire game single-handedly with a mouse, which already is super neat. It feels very immersive, as your one-armed avatar and you have a raw physical connection. The gameplay is tightly designed, as you scramble to reload your pistol while enemies slowly inch towards you. It has real suspense and just weight to the whole thing, and I really enjoyed it.

Playing the bit of the sequel I did though, I think that one just may earn 5 stars from me. It had more intricate level design and puzzles, a MAP (yay), etc. But for a simple action horror game with a unique mechanic, this one deserves some serious praise.
