While branded as the reboot , it doesn't have a lot in common with the series. In fact it feels more like you're playing a Devil May Cry game (atmosphere, music, menu, cutscenes, boss battles, unlockable hidden mode similiar to bloody palace, even finding secrets feels like DMC). Combat system was very interesting: while you can try to battle as weak human (useful only for replenishing your spirit energy meter), you can transform at command to any beast you want (transformations are not infinite, they drain your Spirit energy meter which you can recover). Different beasts have different forms of attacks and special abillites needed for puzzles and progress. While I didn't have high hopes for this, I was very surprised to enjoy this so much.
