You Died ... but a Necromancer revived you! Reaching the top is no easy feat: The pathways are narrow, full of traps and on top of that, the floor will start exploding behind you if you take too long!

Simple, but fun, with high polish and a lot of heart

This game is super simple but it is fun to play. The levels are randomly generated but will generally end up being pretty similar each time, so don't expect much variety. It's just about giving you different traps to dodge each time.

There's pretty good variety in the types of traps, though a lot of similar elements are re-used.

What makes the game stand out is it's design and level of polish. It is more than the sum of its parts. The game has a bunch of art in its unique style, dozens of character choices (for fun, they have no effect) a handbook with descriptions of every character and trap, and a ton of options for customizing the difficulty level. For what should be a very simple product, there's a lot put into it to make it feel really special, and it gives the game a very clear identity. The music is great as well and really fits the game.

I beat Normal Mode and Hard mode, but I did not beat Ultra mode. This isn't because it is too hard, but because it isn't fun. Ultra mode has no checkpoints so you start from floor 0 each time …

I beat Normal Mode and Hard mode, but I did not beat Ultra mode. This isn't because it is too hard, but because it isn't fun. Ultra mode has no checkpoints so you start from floor 0 each time you die (aka each time you take a single hit). Unfortunately, Ultra mode doesn't have a lot of traps, which means the first handful of floors don't pose much of a challenge, and aren't very fun to play. So each time you die, you have to go through a bunch of unfun floors to catch up to where you were. I'm used to roguelikes with permadeath, but they usually have interesting first areas, and since the first floors here are easy, it's boring to keep playing through them.
