When I played this for the first time a month or two ago, I was completely blown away. They made a game like this on the Dreamcast!? In 2001?! Feels extremely ahead of its time, but that's the Dreamcast for you. In Rez you play as a hacking code or something that must infiltrate through a super computer or something... IDK, it doesn't matter. The point is it's a rail shooter and it looks really cool, and the techno trance music that goes along with everything happening around you is super atmospheric. Not a hard game, and definitely not a long one. But it's well-worth checking out if you're down with locking on to Tron-esque enemies and blasting them away for a couple hours. Consider this the sci-fi brother of Panzer Dragoon I suppose. Apparently Rez has been re-released in recent years and is VR compatible -- and I can only imagine how cool that experience would be. Get on that ASAP, all you VR players out there.
