I had played Lone Survivor when I was much younger and remembered being too scared to finish. Well, I decided to revisit since I'm on a horror kick and I found it to be pretty.... meh.

It starts fine, the atmosphere is there, the Silent Hill and David Lynch influences are obvious, and the apartment area is decently designed. But then, it just never really takes off.

The puzzles were super basic inventory types that don't take much thought. The level design, while decent in the apartment, becomes totally flat in the second half. Then all of a sudden, the game abruptly ends.

I just expected a lot more. But, for 2D horror games in a similar style, I wayyyyy more recommend Afterdream or Burnhouse Lane from last year. This is just kinda a super basic Silent Hill adaptation.
