Morcys's review of Atelier Lulua: The Scion of Arland

From the very beginning, I was captivated by the game's cartoonish sense of humor. Lulua is easily the franchise's funniest protagonist. I thoroughly enjoyed visiting Arland and its people again. If it weren't for the fact that this game is a direct sequel to the Arland trilogy, it would be a great entry point for new players.enter image description here

Finished with the true ending. Got all endings except the curry ending. I initially wanted to get the platinum, but once I hit endgame I realized that would require making a bunch of items with 999 quality and I hate quality farming. It's especially tedious in Arland games compared to something like Ryza.

Overall, a great Atelier game. Lulua's cool and the other 3 Arland alchemists are back. Piana and Totori are especially adorable. Also bought all the DLC but I'm not sure having Totori and Meruru as playable characters is actually worth the money. They aren't especially powerful compared to anyone else or anything.
