Preliminary: I can't seem to find the Mac version, so I had to paly the Amiga version
Look: 8/10 Well, I was definitely planning this to just be a playtest because it's quite the long text adventure, and I haven't really been in the mood for those. Still, even preliminarily, I saw how beautiful the Look was. I love the Amiga look. Such a clear build-up to the 90s DOS Looks I so loved. Because Amiga uses mouse (that's going to become more and more common for my computer games I play), I couldn't really easily get screenshots, so a video should suffice.
Really cool and imaginative and beautiful settings. The jungle, the tomb, the futuristic parts. The way the portals have animation for opening up. Great Look. It's what kept me going. Sure, nothing sentimental to the images, but great Look nonetheless.
Play: 7/10 I kept debating about stopping because it's quite lengthy, but in the end it was worth it. Classic text adventure. Pretty limited parser for its release year, but the cool UI/images/Look made up for it ha. Plus, guides readily available if you get confused (plus, tbh, the puzzles and adventure "attack enemy with sword" type …

As we know, I prefer straightforward anyway :-p
Feel: 8/10 Many Feels came up during this play sessions. Despite me not fully falling in love with the gameplay, I kept admiring the Look and the UI, which brought 90s PC games Feels; I got Resident Evil Feels when I put the Jewel in the statue eye and used computer discs in computers, classic classic ha; and had that classic text adventure Feel though it never quite grew to the extent The Adventures of Alice did in 1987 too (tho this one had a striking Look to make up for it). Some cheesy moments, like the Look of the wizard and the spell words just being cheesy words like "enchant" backwards, but tbh even those minor cringes reminded me of the cheesy 90s games I so loved.

Likely wont be replaying this, but rewatching a video will always be nice. The UI was great. I wonder what the original Mac version looked like, I can't find any videos. As I learned with 1986 games, the Amiga had such impressive graphics. Excited to see the PC era rise, simultaneously with my beloved NES/SNES/PS1 era too! Ah! Yay! 1987 is flying by compared to the other years, because I know what to expect and when to simply playtest a game rather than playthrough. But I'm surely not always right--like with this game, where I repeatedly told myself to stop and just playtest it, but why? It has impressive graphics for 1987, Feels reminiscent of 90s DOS games and Resident Evil games I love, and straightforward text adventures with avoidable deaths like in here are something I love. This may grow in rating if I am in the "right mood" when/if I ever return to it. Anyway, here's the tacky ending screen heh, score of 3... they should've at least shown maximum score :-p
