A Bug's Life is a video game based on the Disney/Pixar film of the same name. It was released for various systems in 1998 and in 1999. The game's storyline is similar to that of the movie, with a few changes. After completing levels the player can unlock real clips from the movie. Its Game.com, Sega Saturn, and Dreamcast versions were cancelled. Though the film was Roddy McDowall's final theatrical performance, the game was his final work before his death.

Another throw back I had a good time revisiting. I was able to get 100% for the first time, which was nice. It's probably more enjoyable just breezing through the game and getting to the end than it is going for completion, but it was a good time regardless. I really like the resource management, puzzle solving, the light punishment for losing all of your health, and making use of the different seed abilities. I haven't played another game that had similar mechanics, which is a shame because it's pretty neat. I'm sure nostalgia carried most of this playthrough, but I think it's still an interesting romp for the uninitiated. My main complaints are that some challenges can be a bit tedious, the camera can be a bit wonky, and the collision detection is way too picky for picking up items. Otherwise, I was surprised that it wasn't more jank.

Why is everybody hating this game, why... Yeas the controls are a bit stiff and slippery. Yeas the enemies can be a bit annoyance, Yeas the level design in some places are absolutely ghastly and the person charge of graphic probably went bed before finishing a couple of levels. But what succeeds in this game really does it. Music is great and it really does gives you the feel of your situation. Combat simple that it is when you only have 3 main attacks a throw berry, a butt bump and butt slide are enough for this game. You can also get a bit creative with some plants and seed what comes to destroy your enemies. Plot is the same what everybody probably already knows in movie so there is nothing new there but I think it’s enough because this is movie license game after all When you start pulling your hair it happens in 3 different situations. One is when you fall somewhere because of bullshit level design, enemy placement or just controls. Second is when you’re utterly lost in level because everything looks the same and drawing distance is a joke (this is only couple levels problem) and …

Second is when you’re utterly lost in level because everything looks the same and drawing distance is a joke (this is only couple levels problem) and the third and final reason is FUCK EVERY SINGLE BERRY AFTER YOU GET THE COLD ONE. All in all, this game is average everything but the music is average or a little below that but when this game does something good it is good and really enjoyable so there is no need to hate this. Tell you what if you haven’t played this, go open minded and if you already have played this. Lower your standards and try ones more because there is something below the failures.

I GOT A BLUEBERRY AFTER I JUST GOT A GOLD ONE. THIS GAME SUCKS!
