Chovus updated their status

Played for quite some time but got sick of the game and stopped playing. At first the game was fairly exciting. Rolling up a party (with plenty of save state scumming for good rolls) and exploring the starter town and dungeon. I then went outside; what the fuck is this shit? The overworld is a labyrinth? And the map is completely useless. The auto map in towns and dungeons is fine so why is the world map complete garbage?! Anyway, the game is literally unplayable without an actual map of the overworld, and even then it is a pain to do basic navigation. I meandered around for a while before resorting to a walkthrough. I did manage to complete a fair number of towns and dungeons, pretty much using the guide, save state scumming and teleport to methodically work through each area. Eventually the sheer inanity of the game left me not wanting to finish it. There is almost nothing whatsoever compelling about this game, though I can praise it for creating one of my favorite franchises. I have no desire to play it again. My team is powerful enough to beat the game (I did do some of the harder stuff) I suppose, so close enough I guess. Give the game 4.0/10.

Here is my team when I stopped playing. Most of their attributes are in the 20s

Chovus: level 10 elf paladin with broad sword +2, large shield +2, plate mail +3, defense cloak, shiny pendant and ruby whistle.

Golden: level 11 elf knight with flamberge +2 and plate mail +1.

Aevariel: level 10 elf archer with great axe +2, great bow, chain mail +1 and ring of okrim

Crystal: level 11 elf cleric with thunder hammer and chain mail +1.

Drucila: level 11 elf robber with battle …
