Herbert's Dummy Run is the fourth entry in a series of games featuring Wally Week and his family. Herbert is the small child of Wally who has become trapped inside a department store and must get to the lost and found department where his parents are waiting. The game is played in real time and allows four and a half hours to complete the game. Like other games in the series there are platforming elements and various puzzle solving sections that require the use of items found around the map. Read less

Ahhhh, the classic Speccy look and vibe. Has it been long enough since I played a classic Speccy game that I might fully engage in it?? I think it's cute and neat this has an actual deliberate cheat in it (involving literally typing CHEAT for infinite lives, ha). It's the usual Speccy action platformer with adventure game puzzles.

I think it's cute and neat this has an actual deliberate cheat in it (involving literally typing CHEAT for infinite lives, ha). It's the usual Speccy action platformer with adventure game puzzles.

Like often happens with these, the end result was just too clunky to be worth pushing through. I do like that it surprisingly incorporated a shoot-em-up room and breakout game room. Nice touch, but the tacky inevitability of taking damage--as early as even the first room heh--and poor jump mechanic made me give up on this after trying several times.
