The Best Series on PSP
This review is for the PlayStation Portable version

Patapon is an extremely addictive, charming, and simple game that is the best the PSP has to offer. A rhythm RPG mashup, Patapon excels in it's surprising depth with the different play styles, equipment, and types of Patapon. The first Patapon is a great game but is a little short, though perfecting your army after the main story has been completed is still fun.

What a crazy summer. Will have traveled to five states and two provinces by the end. Found out I'm going to be an uncle. All the while my backlog has been increasing and not shrinking. Finally got some time to play my PSP.

If you're a fan of music/rhythm games you really owe it to yourself to give Patapon a try :). In the game, you control an army of tiny little eyeballs and have to drum up specific patterns to a steady beat in order to command your army to move forward, attack, defend, etc. It's a very unique gaming experience, and I've yet to find anything quite like it. The music is also pretty awesome xD. There's just something mesmerizing about watching your little eyeball army chant and hurl spears at the enemy lol.

I almost quit Patapon yesterday. I didn't realize you could retire your weak Patapons in order to add stronger ones (because the method for doing it is completely obscure) so I thought I was completely stuck. Now I'm trying to power up my team to finish this in time for Pokemon!
