Fun in Multiplayer

I have a lot of good memories of this one, mostly through playing with my fiancee before we were ever dating. Fun and slightly cringy fact - I first told her I thought I was going to marry her someday while we were playing this together.

I have a lot of good memories of this one, mostly through playing with my fiancee before we were ever dating. Fun and slightly cringy fact - I first told her I thought I was going to marry her someday while we were playing this together.

Aside from that, it's just an oddly satisfying game. Admittedly, I spend most of my time on Raft catching fish and then cooking everything I catch and acting like it's the height of fun, but I maintain that it's useful so I'm allowed. The storyline was surprisingly interesting to slowly uncover, and the general gameplay is pretty engaging - it's always fun to find new islands, and you can make some seriously impressive-looking rafts with the building mechanics. Me and my fiancee ended up with a super cozy floating home with a fireplace - not sure how good of an idea that is when your entire living space is made of wood, but at least we're surrounded by water.

很无聊的生存和勉强能玩的主线解密。带着家一起行动是创新点,其实可以以木筏的养成为要点在生存上多做点东西的。多人模式是唯一的动力。 Due to Grouvee's incompatibility with scriptio continua, I need to add this sentence to prove that this is not nonsense.

It's a decent ride on a raft.

Let's just start with the bad shall we?

  • The story is pretty basic.
  • Some story bits seem like desperate attempts at bringing some action to the game
  • It is pretty repetetive
  • It is grindy
  • Threats kinda start feeling lik a nuisance

That being said, it still can be a enjoyable trip. It's pretty fun building up your raft in different …

That being said, it still can be a enjoyable trip. It's pretty fun building up your raft in different configurations and such. It is fun seeing an island in the distance and go towards it. It is a good place for friends to goof off on the raft etc.

But the game is nothing special, i say it has been worth my time, for sure. But the game has a long way before it could be actually great. The story is atleast something to pull you through the game. It would be great if maybe there were different threats going on. Different rare finds on the ocean, maybe finding islands extra rich in certain resources etc.

Exploring isn't super exciting, outside of story bits, most of the islands are just different sizes of the same thing.

TL:DR: It's not a great game, but it is fun, especially with a friend or two.

Very nice game but obviously not perfect. The concept of spending your days on a raft that you constantly expand works well and plays nice.

The story itself is not very interesting but that didn't really bother me as I was more focused on the places it took me and the additional things I unlocked through it.

The constant collecting of items to keep you alive or to expand your raft can feel like a grind at first. But after the right upgrades, those resources largely come in naturally.

Managing the ship + drink & food supply on your own is certainly a challenge and the game really starts to shine when you play it with multiple players.

All about micro-management

I haven't played too far into the game but the game gets repetitive SUPER quickly. Sharks never end, loot is completely up to your luck with what you find in the ocean and in the normal difficulty (not even hard!) thirst and hunger deplete way too quickly. It's a game of micro-management. You usually can't find time to do other …

It's a game of micro-management. You usually can't find time to do other stuff until you get a good loop of water & food going.

Not very fun imo.
