Wholesome & Comfy

Really good vibes and chill game, although relatively dark in its world-building and narrative. It's an enjoyable short game with beautiful art, fun characters, and some funky lo-fi tunes.

I found the dialogue to be quite meandering at times, which I must say, probably is actually more accurate to the barista experience, hearing people sometimes talk in circles and monologuing. …

I found the dialogue to be quite meandering at times, which I must say, probably is actually more accurate to the barista experience, hearing people sometimes talk in circles and monologuing. Makes sense, really.

The brewing part felt really meaningless at first, not adding much more than a small fidget distraction to break up the talking. But after a while, as the customers have more specific requests and want help with a specific drink, it actually starts to add some stakes!

More Coffee, Less Talk

Cute game, but wish the coffee brewing was a bigger part of it. Needs some QOL love. Lovely art style. Music was hit or miss for me.

Loved the twist ending.

Great characters, great graphics and an even greater story

This is one of those games that makes you feel warm and confortable when you play them, as well as making you grow fond of the characters quickly because of the friendly feeling between them all. The ambiance, the art and the story are all something that go together very well, and they grab your attention from the get go. Its simple, relaxing and overall very sweet and wholesome, and I was saddened by the fact that it was shorter than I expected. But still, I enjoyed it a whole lot!

Sweet, Warming, Fleeting

I think this is a lovely little game which captures the coffee house vibe perfectly while introducing the player to an affable bunch of characters. The use of fantasy creatures to highlight issues of race and acceptance is often a little heavy-handed - indeed, I think the whole thing would have been more poignant without this conceit - but the …

I think this is a lovely little game which captures the coffee house vibe perfectly while introducing the player to an affable bunch of characters. The use of fantasy creatures to highlight issues of race and acceptance is often a little heavy-handed - indeed, I think the whole thing would have been more poignant without this conceit - but the writing, particularly the dialogue itself, was otherwise strong enough to draw me in. Despite somewhat predictable arcs, I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with Coffee Talk's regulars and only wish the stories went on for a little longer. The coffee-making gameplay is a fun, if simple, addition to proceedings.

A weak brew

The gameplay is meaningless. All you can do is make hot drinks but it has no bearing on the narrative. I looked it up, there are unlocks but no matter what you do the story is the story.

So the story is PRETTY IMPORTANT! Too bad it is the laziest tropes and an offensive grafting of the "its about racism but it is orcs and elves as the minorities". It is just as lazy as that Will Smith film everyone called ORC COP.

I "played" this for an hour and got through a few in-game days and when it was not cringe-inducing or offensive it was BORING! I quit because I started to fall asleep playing and thought "what am I doing?!"
