Played this for the first time last night. The game has come up a few times in recent reading (including the news that Unreal Engine and its independent version for Fortnite will be merged into a single engine for UE6), so it’s been on my mind. I didn’t know much about it apart from what I’ve (inevitably) absorbed through cultural osmosis.

Without much thought, I booted it up on the PS5 and jumped into the Star Wars-themed ‘Droid Tycoon’. After a little while, my wife joined in on her iPad. Hours flew by. I can see how this becomes addictive… The tone and aesthetics have never appealed to me, but when playing with someone you know, it can be unexpectedly amusing (in a gleefully cringeworthy sort of way).

Although I’m not particularly interested in Battle Royale, I should give it a try at some point, if only to know what it’s all about.

Merry Christmas everyone. Fun Fortnite Fact: John Travolta will be in Fortnite now as Vincent Vega. Meaning that this is the closest thing to getting real life mafia boss, John Gotti, in Fortnite.

This was a surprinsingly sweet moment from the past season of Fortnite, the one with the Simpsons crossover.

Homer gets no changes to his design, Cleveland Brown gets no change, the chicken gets no change, but Peter does??? Sure. Makes sense.

Here in the U.S., we have the MPAA rating for movies and the ESRB rating for games. I'd say PG-13 is the movie equivalent to the T rating in video games, both ratings recommended for 13+. Thing is though, movies can have 1 "fuck".

Fortnite, a T-rated game, made a tweet about Chapter 6 Season 4 (which releases tomorrow) containing the word, "fuck" albeit censored. So that has me thinking. What T-rated game says "fuck" other than Crazy Taxi in the Dreamcast? No censoring. Just an unfiltered "fuck". enter image description here

I'm fucking angry

Fortnite stole James Earl Jones voice to create a fucking Darth Vader AI chatbot (my article in spanish).

No. I don't think their children and grandchildren can "give permission" to use the work of Jones in this way. This is beyond offensive.

Fortnite removed bullets from the game.

No, really.

They replaced all firearms this season with Star Wars blasters and those don't need bullets. But they do overheat.

This is gonna be a very interesting season.
