Read moreI am surprised as an older gamer how much I enjoy this game. I don't play constantly but it is great to pickup a game and play solo or with a buddy. It's not a game you have to remember where you were or what you were doing if you want a break. I think they have brought some good balance to the game it doesn't feel as grindy as it used to. All I care about is getting enough v bucks for the next battle pass, for the most part I don't care about skins or stats. I just like going in and shooting people. I also like some of the other crazy stuff they have going on now, like the rocket league type games or even lego fortnite. I will probably always come back to this game. So my rating isn't based on anything more than the entertainment value this game brings into my life.

I got high and tried to play Lego Fortnite. This is why I failed:
I'm hanging with my dog and decided to give myself the Christmas treat of getting goofy high. So one thing leads to another and I'm trying to play Lego Fortnite while my pizza is cooking. The last time I played Fortnite was 5+ years ago! I was a different man back then, but now I am a child as the Lego appeal brought me back to Fortnite. So I turn it on and I'm greeted with a loading screen. I've played Fortnite before- I was expecting a loading screen. But then I realized that the game was also still downloading the newest Fortnite stuff, and I've had an inactive account for the last five years. So it starts giving me update messages and then it plays a trailer for what Fortnite is now and then I had to select Lego Fortnite followed by another trailer and then by another loading screen. And I laughed to myself. This is taking forever. I wondered how long it had been since I started. Then I remembered, I have a timer to tell me how long it has been because I am making a pizza that went into a cool oven and needed an extra 6 minutes. You can think that looking at an underdone pizza in a hot oven and coming up with a precise number of minutes is silly, but I am now sitting here with a perfectly made pizza. Anyway, the loading screen ends and what happens next is beautiful.
My alarm goes off right as the menus for Lego Fortnite pulls up. I had started this game six minutes ago and still wasn't playing. I got my pizza. Perfectly done, but I wanted to see how long it would take to play- properly move my lego character around in a 3D environment. I sat back down and started a stopwatch.
I now am looking at a rendering of my character: a black woman with a flat top.
I love the look, but I normally make myself: A white man with a mop top. I take a moment and decide it is unfair to the game to take a long time doing this. So I just move forward and now I am greeted by many more decisions. Am I playing this game in Survival mode? Do I want Villagers on? Do I want to invite people to my server? I just said yes to everything because I am trying to have the game start already. We go back to the menu. Apparently I was just building my world. I quickly click play. I am again greeted by a loading screen. I am aghast. The game finally gives me control after 7 minutes and 47 seconds. And then I burst out laughing.
Look how butt ugly this is! This is the big new game's big new game, and this is its first impression. Almost 8 minutes of waiting (if done quickly) followed by some Parappa the Rapper looking grass. This didn't feel epic*. This felt like Roblox. I turned it off. I'm 33. I am too close to death to still be spending 7+ minutes waiting for Banjo Kazooie first draft grass.
Now I'm doing more important things like being high and writing this while watching Apple TV+'s Spirited. It seems like it'll be bad!

Which can protect you from other enemies later in the game. Playing with friends or even random squads can be much more fun than just a solo battle. You and your friends against 99 others can be a difficult challenge at times. As the time ticks down the storm quickly closes in leaving only a small space to fight off your enemies. Over all I think this game ia an amazing investment. It's free and a great time killer. Positive things about the game are that it's a great time killer. Also you can play with your friends and enjoy the game a lot more. Winning games is the best feeling after killing all other people. Also you can get amazing guns from supply drops that fall at random locations on the map. Making it a fair chance for everyone to try and get the supply drop. Snipers give you a huge advantage toward killing your enemies because you can kill them from such a far distance. This game is a great choice because it's free and has amazing action. Some negative things about this game is that the servers can sometimes be down and the gun glitch. The gun glitch is when you land near another person and you pick up a gun but it doesnt let you shoot because the gun is invisible and you most likely die. Also you can die or be hurt because of the storm that comes in to force you into a smaller ring. I honestly can't think of a good reason to not get the game.

In fortnite, you are battling 99 other players and you have to collect resources and weapons to survive it. To start the game you jump off a bus and skydive to where you want to land to get resources. Once you got loot you want to start killing other players to gain more loot but you want to keep moving because a storm is surrounding you from all sides and is shrinking until the game is over. The best thing about Fortnite Battle Royale is getting the satisfaction of winning out of a hundred players. I love the creativity in the game, the building and resource collecting is a lot like minecraft but not blocky. It has exciting gameplay and isn’t inappropriate. Teaming up with your friends and trying to win is very fun. Although the game is fun and exciting it has some glitches and frustrating things. For example when you pick up a gun up right when you land, sometimes it doesn’t let you use it for like ten seconds which could get you killed. A lot of the times it doesn't let you play with your friends and it says (Party currently not accepting members right now) which can get annoying when you have a bunch of friends you want to play with. I don’t like that you have to buy about everything to get new stuff. Those are some pros and cons of Fortnite Battle Royale.
