The Power of Creation

I can't believe I'm making a post about Fortnite, but I saw a clip from the State of Unreal showcase and noticed that they're bringing unreal engine 5 creation tools to Fortnite, meaning that user generated content will likely be the future of the game.

Now I don't care for Fortnite in the slightest, but the UE5 toolkit is extremely powerful and opens up a lot of possibilities for budding creators and developers.

A lot of people seem to be crediting Epic Games with revolutionising the industry with this move, and whilst it is significant for user creation, it's certainly not the first time it's been done. Which got me thinking about the hay day of developers supporting PC modders, and all the games that focus on user generated content or creations.

Games like Dreams, Mario Maker, even things like Mains Assembly where you create your own vehicles, Garry's Mod, and many many titles / software that I can't remember right now. But what are your favourites? Are you a fan or creating your own experiences? Taking games into your own hands?

It seems people are really dissapointed that Leon was added to Fortnite without his iconic bomber jacket from RE4.

It seems like the bomber jacket is actually copyrighted by Schott NYC and Capcom has permission to use it on the game, but not other companies.

I did the thing!

Now I'm wondering if I have enough time to unlock the maskless version of the skin.

Some of the story quests don’t work well because they require you to do things like fight a boss-like NPC while everyone in the game is trying to gank you. I’ve tried numerous times and inevitable some comes and shoots me instead of the boss. I’ve even tried assisting people when they are already fighting the boss and they attack me instead. Unless you can’t claim the quest to if you don’t kill the NPC yourself I don’t see why people can’t just help each other for two seconds. And I don’t think you have to kill her yourself, the quest just asks that you assist in killing her. I did manage to work with someone once but a third person came, killed us both and immediately got smoked by the NPC (which served them right to be honest). I don’t care if I win, I just want to finish this quest.

Stupid game is actually kind of fun, ugh. I just wish it wasn’t so exploitative. I feel for the people that can’t resist spending real money in game especially since the game is so well built to convince people to spend that money.

People, believe me when I say I never, ever care about Fortnite updates, seasons or cosmetics. Until now.

Spider-Gwen is in the new season battle pass and it makes me want to find out how much work it would be to unlock her. Spider-Gwen’s costume is hands down my favourite costume of any super hero, with variants of Miles’ costume second to that. Aside from a hopefully forthcoming Insomniac Spider-Man game that includes Gwen I don’t know when else I’ll have a chance to play a game as Gwen. So that leads me to a question:

How much work would I need to put in to unlock what looks to be a featured battle pass cosmetic for the new season?

So, I have a crush on a Fortnite character.

Pretty goth witch? Yes. This is very much my kind of woman. It doesn't help that it actually looks like an old flame of mine.

Rating is for Save The World

I played my fair share of StW - it doesn't help that it will always be out shadowed by its far superior successor (BR), but the grind doesn't feel worth it.

At least it works...

At least it's not a buggy mess. I couldn't give less of a shit about this game. If you really don't care about this game then don't g on an enormous hate train and start shitting on it, please just ignore it, the more we just ignore it the faster it will finally die.

Great trash.

This game is great but the entire unlock process is pay to win. You LITERALLY cannot progress in this game without spending real life money. Run a while, then die

What a boring, boring game. Running around a huge arena, hoping to get good weapons, wasting time with harvesting materials and building constructs that are easily broken through and become useless once the circle shrinks, and getting shot dead from a mile away by a kid with a sharp eye after running around for 15-20 minutes. I can't imagine why …

I can't imagine why so many people play this or why they pay for the costumes. On the positive side, I CAN say it's colorful, easy to find people to play with (including friends from every possible platform, I think) and free.

Fortnite Battle Royale is a different take on a tower defence game. Your main way of transportation is when you jump out of the flying bus at the beginning of the game to get to your wanted location. The amazing resources and supplies laying on the ground or in chests’ can be used take down enemies. Also the supplies you get from cutting down trees or breaking down rock can be used to make forts. Which can protect you from other enemies later in the game. Playing with friends or even random squads can be much more fun than just a solo battle. You and your friends against 99 others can be a difficult challenge at times. As the time ticks down the storm quickly closes in leaving only a small space to fight off your enemies. Over all I think this game ia an amazing investment. It's free and a great time killer. Positive things about the game are that it's a great time killer. Also you can play with your friends and enjoy the game a lot more. Winning games is the best feeling after killing all other people. Also you can get amazing guns from supply drops that fall at random locations on the map. Making it a fair chance for everyone to try and get the supply drop. Snipers give you a huge advantage toward killing your enemies because you can kill them from such a far distance. This game is a great choice because it's free and has amazing action. Some negative things about this game is that the servers can sometimes be down and the gun glitch. The gun glitch is when you land near another person and you pick up a gun but it doesnt let you shoot because the gun is invisible and you most likely die. Also you can die or be hurt because of the storm that comes in to force you into a smaller ring. I honestly can't think of a good reason to not get the game.

Fortnite Battle Royale is extremely fun and addicting but sometimes it can be frustrating. In fortnite, you are battling 99 other players and you have to collect resources and weapons to survive it. To start the game you jump off a bus and skydive to where you want to land to get resources. Once you got loot you want to start killing other players to gain more loot but you want to keep moving because a storm is surrounding you from all sides and is shrinking until the game is over. The best thing about Fortnite Battle Royale is getting the satisfaction of winning out of a hundred players. I love the creativity in the game, the building and resource collecting is a lot like minecraft but not blocky. It has exciting gameplay and isn’t inappropriate. Teaming up with your friends and trying to win is very fun. Although the game is fun and exciting it has some glitches and frustrating things. For example when you pick up a gun up right when you land, sometimes it doesn’t let you use it for like ten seconds which could get you killed. A lot of the times it doesn't let you play with your friends and it says (Party currently not accepting members right now) which can get annoying when you have a bunch of friends you want to play with. I don’t like that you have to buy about everything to get new stuff. Those are some pros and cons of Fortnite Battle Royale.
