This is a solid double-A game. Nothing special.
But it being a live service that demand much of your time and locks much of the content behind a paywall makes this an easy choice to pass.
Hoyo is showing that free-to-play games need to be exceptional from day one and at the top of mechical and artistic design (which whales care about).
This game as a looter shooter can compite with the best ones, the graphics, the quests, the styles, the skins, that you can get everything just by playing the fucking game is so good, BUT, the company with their past allegations about the drop rates made it again, the % of the drops for things that you need are not only TOO FUCKING LOW, but also even if they are low the drop rates are lowest that what they actually say, 100+ runs for something that is 5% just to name an example, they want you to frustrate with the drops and just spend money in the game and that's why i don't recommend this game even if i gave it a good rating, make yourself a favour and don't play this game, at least right now, maybe they change this when everyone gets bored of this stupid things.
I might try this one more time, but I'm getting pretty tired of it after a few sessions. You stand in one area and a bunch of enemies rush at you, and you kill them. That's mainly what happens in this game. The next things in my progression say they're expected to take 20-30 minutes to finish, and that sounded super tedious and I couldn 't bring myself to start before quitting for the session.
I tried playing The Division for a bit the other day, after not touching it for a few years, and was utterly stumped at what was going on and how to resume my character. Feels like this genre is so complicated, that you can't really go back and forth from different games. Or, maybe that's my feeble brain. Resuming Destiny 2 seems unlikely for similar reasons. Warframe is probably the king of the genre, IMO, but I probably won't try and go back to that either.
For lovers of Exo Primal, Outriders, and Warframe, or any scifi MMO shooter. So fun, seamless coop with other users. Looking forward to seeing if there is PVP. All free.
It was having some problems getting started on GeForce Now, but it's working great finally. Seems promising so far, after an hour or so.
