I play a lot of the same albums on repeat. They comfort me. I have experienced them so many times before I know how my body responds. I put on Pinegrove's Cardinal, and I mentally return to high school*. I put on Frank Ocean's Channel Orange and transform into the world's coolest man. I put on Natalie Prass' eponymous album and deal with some break up better/worse than any real break ups I've gone through.

I do have some games I return to, but for the most part I'm a one and done kinda guy. I instead find myself hankering for genres. And I can't describe the chemical response my brain is having when I play well crafted platformers, but I do get happy. Dadish is a barebones platformer my kids bought because it was two dollars and had a pun for a name. But there is a pretty good time to be had. If you liked Mutant Mudds, you'd probably dig this.

I don't think you'll get to your deathbed and whisper in a loved one's ear "Thank God for Dadish", but I also don't think you'll whisper "I wish I didn't spend two dollars on Dadish". It's a simple little game that looks fine and has some nice little tunes. What can I say? It made me happy. You can beat it in a couple hours if you are platforming proficient. I figure two dollars for two/three hours of jumping goodness is a good enough deal for me. Pick it up if that sounds good to you too.

*This album came out long after I finished high school and college for that matter. Still I can't deny its high-school-iness.

Perfect simple platformer

Simple controls. Fun mechanics. Great level design. Reasonable difficulty curve. Good humour. Lovely design and music. Can't recommend this game enough for anyone that loves a simple platformer.
