Streets of Rogue is a top-down rogue-lite with an emphasis on player agency and freedom. It combines shooting, stealth, and role-playing elements in a procedurally generated city. Rather than taking place in a dungeon, the game is set in a functioning, procedurally generated city, where complex AI informs denizens from all walks of life, who are just trying to get by in their daily activities. In order to progress, the player will need to accomplish specific mission goals in any way they see fit through use of their special character traits, items, and the environment.

Uninspiring.
This review is for the PC (Microsoft Windows) version

Trying to complete the missions in an interesting world with different characters and features that reveal something completely different from all sides is both difficult and beautiful. But gameplay is boring.

Great Co-Op Rogue-like Fun

With this game approaching 1.0, I'm going to write a review for it. This game is a lot of fun, weird and silly, and open to lots of different modes of play. Definitely much better with a friend, but because it's a fun, silly little rogue-like it's easy to just jump into a game with a buddy when you've got a few hours to kill and don't want to get into anything longer or heavier.

The game allows you to play a number of different characters, with different playstyles, and while ultimately it's very simple, it still manages to be a lot of fun. Learning all the ways you can interact with everything (like the fact that the hacker can hack into a fridge, or what different NPCs will do in reaction to different situations), and trying to accomplish the Big Quests for each class, makes for a lot of replayability.

Given my love of co-op games, I definitely recommend it.

Rarely see such level of freedom. Never a dull time!

Man I forgot how addicting this game is. It's on Game Pass now so even more excuse to play it. I need to get to my back log, but games like this pull me in so easily.

WOW this game is addicting. My current favorite classes are the Vampire and the Gorilla. The Shapeshifter is fun too, but I'm having trouble making progress with it.
