A 2D metroidvania with an emphasis on close combat and exploration in which the player enters the once-prosperous now-bleak insect kingdom of Hallownest, travels through its various districts, meets friendly inhabitants, fights hostile ones and uncovers the kingdom's history while improving their combat abilities and movement arsenal by fighting bosses and accessing out-of-the-way areas.

I can't play this game normally I can only binge it for a whole day and be overcome with emotions and rinse and repeat. I can't physically stop after one hour. I need some more self control for sure but they need to stop (sike) making fire games like this.

I'm loving replaying Hollow Knight, but damn it I wish I could experience it for the first time again. Instead I'll just annoy the heck out of my brother so he gives it a try.

-Finish all the games I've had on hold for months

-Start a new Hollow Knight savefile because spotify played Soul Sanctum on shuffle

I have officially walked away from this, at Pantheon 3, where I've been stuck for a year. It's just not possible. I feel good that I got this far, even if I never beat that or the final boss, cause it's way further than a lot of others will ever get, but it just isn't doable, and anyone who says …

I have officially walked away from this, at Pantheon 3, where I've been stuck for a year. It's just not possible. I feel good that I got this far, even if I never beat that or the final boss, cause it's way further than a lot of others will ever get, but it just isn't doable, and anyone who says it is is a liar. I feel okay with where I am. The end.

Hollow Knight is a tough, tough game, which sadly I haven't beaten yet. I must say I love everything about it, but I'm not anywhere near the level I need to be to 100% (112%) this game.

I'm stepping away for the time being, but I will be back.

I really didn't know what I was getting myself into starting Hallow Knight. The most unforgiving game I've have ever played, but loving ever minute so far.

I am on the 3rd pantheon, and Grey Prince Zote is my goddamned nemesis now. The worst part is, if I simply hadn't fought him in Bretta's basement, he wouldn't even BE in the pantheon, thusly making it a thousand times easier. I did this to myself. This is awful lol

Received a sweet new Hornet t-shirt in the mail from Fangamer today. Really love the design. The companion shirt with The Knight should be along shortly.

Finished the three colosseum levels, all the charms with me except for the unbreakable stuff, Grimm dealt (except for the final act, want to banish them but don't want to farm geo for the unbreakable charms), crossed the path of pain (which was a really challenging platform, ehh, challenge, that took me a couple of hours just to …

Finished the three colosseum levels, all the charms with me except for the unbreakable stuff, Grimm dealt (except for the final act, want to banish them but don't want to farm geo for the unbreakable charms), crossed the path of pain (which was a really challenging platform, ehh, challenge, that took me a couple of hours just to then see a youtuber doing it in 4 minutes without getting hit).

Haven't finished any pantheon yet. I think I'll do one and then call it game for good. I have put way more hours in it than what I thought at the beginning but at least the game grew on me quite a lot.

I really, really enjoyed the white palace and, after looking at a video of the beginning of the path of pain, I think I will like it a lot too.

I've beaten so many times the hollow knight just to lose to the radiance that it's even funny how a final boss became meaningless

My love-hate relationship with this game won't stop even after finishing it, apparently. So I beat the hollow knight and got the first ending, which I understood shit about, and then kept on playing because I thought I was close-ish to 100%. My love-hate relationship with this game won't stop even after finishing it, apparently. So I beat the hollow knight and got the first ending, which I understood shit about, and then kept on playing because I thought I was close-ish to 100%. Not only 100% is not 100% but 112%, but also it seems like I missed a huge plot part by not meeting the white lady before going into the final boss because she actually explained some of what was happening. Not that I cared that much, actually, because my emotional involvement with the story is basically 0, but I think I will keep on playing until I reach to the white palace. Which will be a grindfest of essence that I know I will not going to enjoy.

If I'm staying is 100% because of the mechanics. The knight is just so smooth and fun to move with, and the charms add a nice touch of versatility that make even the most incredible difficulty spikes (dream bosses are not only more difficult than the final boss but way too much) surmountable after a little while of trying and dying (or not dying, in this case).
