I want to start off by saying that this game is kind of fucked up in a really bad way. One of the things you do in this game is make friends because you start the game with everyone hating you, but by the time you get to the end, the idea is that you've done things for people and gotten more respect so now people like you. This is done very well with at the starting when you pass people they're all telling you to bug off, but at the end almost every person you pass gives you a pleasant hello. However, one of the ways that you make friends is by showing them porn. There are some people in town with a heart icon on their head. Depending on the amount of hearts, that depends on what level sexy jutsu you have to do to become friends. Sexy Jutsu shows 1-3 hot girls and, as I said before, different people have different standards. This can also be used to disorient your opponent in combat. If you mess up with the timing of the jutsu, it shows an ugly fat girl instead. I think it's pretty fucked up to have a mechanic in a game be to make friends by showing them porn.

The second fucked up thing is that there's a questline you need to follow where you're doing things for this old pervert dude and every quest turns out to be something perverted like getting him the map to a bathhouse so he can spy on the girls.Thing is, you don't just do one quest and realize he's a pervert. You do one quest, realize he's a pervert, and continue doing quests for him knowing they're going to be more fucked up things. How much of this stuff is from Naruto the anime and how much is from creepy game devs?

As for the actual gameplay, Rise of a Ninja is a fun game. The fighting system is good and feels kind of like a fighting game, but much simpler. I don't play fighting games so maybe that was a bad comparison, but it's got the 2d back and forth with blocking and attacking and jumping and combos. The exploration is fun as well with a city to explore and a couple secrets outside the city as well. The sidequests are well done and optional, but given at a pace that works well alongside the main quest. This game isn't amazing, but it's good fun and basically does everything I look for in a 360 game.
