Sword Coast Legends is a decent action RPG set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. While the story itself is mediocre, there is a major focus on the combat (much like the older Icewind Dale series), which keeps the experience tolerable till the end.

Sword Coast Legends is a decent action RPG set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. While the story itself is mediocre, there is a major focus on the combat (much like the older Icewind Dale series), which keeps the experience tolerable till the end.
Unfortunately, they completely trashed the D&D combat balance due to the itemization and how stacking works in this game. Instead of getting the maximum bonus from among all the items you equip, all the bonuses are added together, leading to ridiculously overpowered character builds.
Ultimately, even though this does not ruin the fun of the combat (unless you want more variety in your party configuration), it makes the difficulty settings redundant, which is slightly annoying. For instance, the final boss fight in hard mode involved clicking on the boss once and then watching his life pool get whittled down in less than a minute. Oh well. That's what I get for trying to optimize every character build in every game I play.
PS: More importantly, this is the 300th PC game I have completed (and the 401st game across all different platforms). I need to stop.
